U15's 3 - 0 Enfield Ladies

Away | 15 September 2018
Saturday was a great start to the season against familiar opposition.
We started the game brightly and administered lots of control in central
areas. We used the ball well and looked dangerous every time we entered the opposition half. The girls created a number of good chances which were well saved by the Enfield goalkeeper. Eventually, Chiara settled the team down with a calm finish from close range, into the bottom corner. The girls continued to push for a second and were rewarded when Tyanna reacted first from a corner and tapped in a rebound after the ball had bounced around in the box.
The second half followed much of the same pattern. We continued to gain control of the game in central midfield, with Katie, Yara and Kyara providing energy and determination to consistently win the ball back and drive forwards with it.
The girls used the ball better in the second half, particularly in the final third of the field. Their choice and weight of pass was more calculated and controlled. This culminated in a pass through to Tyanna who rounded the goalkeeper before rolling the ball into an empty net.
As the game drew to a close we did begin to tire. For a first game of the season, the continuous rotation with the substitutes was vital. The game ended 3-0, a very impressive first game back.
